RECIPE: Unicorn Fuel

The best part of waking up is actually waking up, duh.

This was created for a client that just couldn’t get into BP no matter how much I pitched its benefits. They just loved their frothy mocha time in the morning and that was that.

Fair, you like what you like. I get it, I am the same way with my men, I mean, coffee too.

The first time I tested THIS supercharged mocha mix for myself I felt like I could take flight. My brain turned ON within 20 minutes and I got more done by 10 AM than I normally did in an entire day. I felt like a lyrical genius. Like the Hiphopopotamus and my lyrics were bottomless! [kudos if you get that show reference]

I started to make it for my clients and they felt the same, plus it tastes really good to the palate that has given up coffee shop cafes. The reference, “Unicorn Fuel” is actually a joke turned viral and goes back to a client that happens to be a big time designer.

Insert some “you had to be there” story and a LONG history with being compared to a Unicorn. Seriously, I have been gifted Unicorn shirts, Unicorn cards, Unicorn action figures, Unicorn cakes, BOUQUETS of Unicorns, and so much more over the last decade.

Needless to say, my client dominated that call. Was it the coffee? Naw, it was definitely her talent but this drink didn’t hurt her stock either!

What’s Your Awesome Threshold?

2 cups coffee (who really drinks only 1 cup?)
1 tablespoons MCT oil (optional, and if it’s your first time only 1/2)
1 tablespoons grass fed butter
1 teaspoon maca
1 teaspoon cacao
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon turmeric
pinch of cayenne

Blend. Stretch. Tell yourself how awesome you are for getting out of bed today.  #eatplaycrush.

Don’t cheat this recipe and just spoon mix this drink. It will suck. Trust me, don’t cheapen such art. This is to be enjoyed so do it right.

Note: You can sub any favorite hot liquid of choice if you aren’t a coffee drinker. I’ve made this with chai tea, coconut , milk, or just hot water.

Note Two: If you don’t have MCT Oil, Coconut Oil will do.

Note Three: I’ve added a few sprinkles of ginger this recipe for my own cup of fuel. Try it!
