My Practice: Not Running
Let’s chat about running. I suck at “endurance” so pacing myself is a huge weakness.
Tennis is my jam so I’m all about quick-gets aka sprints and can spend hours on the court.
There are two times I took up running, both times I had ish going on in my life and so the solo “me vs me” aspect while being outdoors was the best remedy for my intro-weirdness.
Today, however, I was inspired to see what my body was capable of in response to a friend who sent over run stats.
The result? I still can’t pace myself and tapped out after 2.2 miles at a 7:32 pace. My goal was to do 3 miles at 8:00 min per and improve from there. Oh, well. I’ll try again tomorrow. Good thing I’ve got ish going on in my life right now to work through via running. ? #reallife #messy #butgrateful
